The inspiration for this image came from sitting on the beach at Lyme Regis in Dorset and watching people at their leisure. Looking out to sea is such a restful thing to do which is why I believe this has been such a popular seller, along with the matching card 'Beach Solitude. 

The working title was 'Doris' a nickname  my partner came up with but I thought that was too specific. I told this to the purchaser of the original and she said no, it was definitely her aunty (who isn't a Doris).
